Inspired by the opportunity to contribute and share in BestLife’s mission for making a difference in the lives of young people through ‘home away from home’ experiences, the Board welcomes Siobhan Mitchell-Taverner in 2021. Siobhan is a strong advocate for human rights and is passionate about building a safe and inclusive world for people of all abilities.

Siobhan has extensive experience working across the community and public sectors and was instrumental in leading the implementation of an award-winning national disability employment inclusion program for the Department of Defence in 2017. More recently, Siobhan has worked in both strategic and senior management positions within the disability sector.

As a highly motivated individual who thrives on a new challenge, Siobhan is passionate about removing barriers so that people can participate and live their best life. Siobhan has extensive experience collaborating at all levels, from senior executives, to front line support workers and program participants, and is an approachable and innovative leader.

Siobhan holds a Graduate Certificate in Disability Studies and her solid foundation in fundraising, stakeholder engagement and unique approach is what drives organisational results. Siobhan is excited to join the BestLife Board, to help grow the strategy and enact the vision through 2021 and beyond.
