Hugo is an experienced taxation lawyer, who advises high net wealth individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organisations on a wide range of taxation law matters, including stamp duty, land tax and income tax. He also has experience advising not-for-profit organisations on their corporate governance and charity law obligations, and assisting in dealings with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
Hugo first joined the board as secretary of BestLife in 2025 after connecting with BestLife’s mission of empowering children and adults with disability to build greater independence and develop life-skills. With lived experience as a person with disability, Hugo is passionate about empowering young people with disability to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
