It’s all about quality.

Those who know BestLife well will know two things that drive us every day: delivering the highest quality support possible and ensuring no young person is left on the sidelines. Every child and young person deserves opportunities to make friends, build independence, belong and have fun.

I’m delighted that our most recent feedback from both families and staff suggests we are continuing to deliver on that commitment. In our latest family survey, 100% of respondents said they would recommend BestLife to other families. Our team also rated BestLife 10 out of 10 as a place to work, with 100% saying they would recommend us as an employer.

While these results are encouraging, what matters most is what sits behind them.

Over more than a decade of service, we’ve learned that quality experiences for our besties are built on relationships and genuine engagement. It’s the connection between a young person and the person supporting them that has the greatest impact.

At BestLife, we often say every moment has potential –  the joy lives in the small moments, and so does the learning. A first sleepover. Helping cook dinner. Making a friend. Finding the confidence to try something new. It’s often these ordinary moments that quietly change lives.

NDIS News

Like many organisations and families, we’re keeping a close eye on changes across the NDIS landscape.

We know these changes are creating uncertainty and additional stress for many families already navigating the complex realities of living with disability every day. Please know that our commitment to supporting young people and their families remains unchanged.

While we cannot predict every NDIS policy decision or external challenge ahead, we can prepare for them. Through continued investment in our team and infrastructure (like our Helena’s House project), we are working to ensure BestLife remains a strong, sustainable and trusted organisation for the families who depend on us. That commitment remains at the heart of BestLife and will continue to guide every decision we make.

A special thank you to our administration team for navigating the changes with grace –  particularly Tracey and Kim-Vy, whose dedication, hard work and attention to detail help ensure our clients remain at the centre of everything we do.

Helena’s House – Project Update

It’s all systems go with BestLife’s Helena’s House project, with construction in full swing, particularly now we have welcome relief from the rain! We’re excited to see the project progressing – it will be out of the ground any day so we will have more updates and pics to share in our next newsletter!

Our ongoing thanks go to the project’s most passionate supporters, Eric and Fiona McIlwain whose generosity, advocacy and commitment continue to help make Helena’s House a reality.

Throughout June, Fiona and Eric are undertaking an extraordinary swim challenge. Check out the full story in our newsletter.

Ther was also lots of Broncos excitement at BestLife throughout April!   The Bronco’s brought plenty of excitement, laughter and memorable experiences for our besties and families, check out all the fun here.

Thank you to our families, staff, volunteers, donors, partners and supporters for being part of the BestLife community. Together, we continue creating opportunities for young people with disability to experience friendship, belonging, independence and a life full of potential.
